Charity Lane is a rough track with a verge provided for some of its length. There are wonderful views of the Peak District.Your horse needs to be fit for this route; on pleasure rides riders often take three hours to complete the circuit.

Leave the car park on Sadler\'s Way. This track is stony and steep but you can lead down as there is a place to remount. A gate half way down is easiest closed on foot as you go downhill.

At the end of Sadler\'s Way turn right and, shortly, left downhill

Turn left here bear right after the house.

Bear left at the junction up to the tarmac of Hacked Way Lane.

At the road by Forest Chapel go straight ahead.

Turn right at the T junction.

At the road junction just past Standing Stone car park, go through the gate onto the Forest track. Follow this passing a ruin then keeping to the edge of the forest area on a clear track. After a view point drop down to a gate by a road.

Turn left to pass the reservoir on the left.

At Leather\'s Smithy pub turn left to pass another reservoir on your right and take the first right.
